The Law of Attraction - Does This Really Work?
I imagine most everyone has now heard the term "Law of Attraction" due to Oprah Winfrey featuring this topic on her television show, once the book "The Secret" was published. Some folks may think this is something new and probably a little skeptical about it all. Others may have fear of it, while many practice this new-age concept of those three little words. And oh, how powerful it really is. Let's determine first if you are negative or positive in your thinking process. It is difficult to be positive all the time. Situations come about that make you feel depressed or angry. Do you overcome the situation and rise above it, or do you linger with thought's of negativity? Are you the type[..]
A history lesson will remind us that Buick revived the Roadmaster nameplate in 1991, the automaker tapped into nostalgia for the fullthrottle, road-hogging prowess of the original Roadinaster that Buick retired in 1958. But the '91 Roadmaster Estate Wagon's 5-liter, 170-hp V8 engine-small for a 4,400-pound vehicle only kindled a sentimental yeaming for the engine muscle of the original. The styling of the Estate Wagon is definitely a throwback to the hefty land cruisers that predated the 1973 energy crisis. Simultaneously elegant, functional and substantive, this is the vehicle you would buy if you owned a ranch or a construction company. The slanted, wind-deflecting front hood and[..]
1994 Acura Vigor Review - What You Need To Know Before Buying
Japanese import vehicles have been called many things over the years-high-quality, well-engineered, fuel-efficient. One adjective that hasn't been used very often, though, is luxurious. The Acura Vigor is certainly a vehicle striven to change that perception, combining many of the best elements of a sports coupe and a touring sedan. It also boasted a number of technical marvels, most notably a five-cylinder, 2.5-liter, 20-valve power plant delivering a level of performance that competing four-cylinder import sedans would be hard-pressed to match. Unfortunately, the Vigor GS doesn't reach the upper echelon of luxury sedans because its interior is too small, inches short of what its prime[..]
2007 Nissan Altima 2.5SL Review
Nissan has re-invented the Altima for the second time in its four generations. The Nissan Altima has been totally redesigned for 2007. It offers more performance, comfort, safety, economy, and better looks than last year's model. It looks more like the Maxima now. It's a couple of inches shorter on the outside, but has more room on the inside, including a spacious trunk. Fold-down rear seats allow the trunk to expand into the cabin for carrying big long things. The object of the redesign was to bring the feel and power of a luxury car to this everyman's midsize sedan, and Nissan has succeeded, at least with the Altima model that has the V6 engine and all the options, including plush[..]

Gm's Defective Speedometers Incite Lawsuits
Mr. Kevin Zwicker felt that something was wrong with his 2004 Chevy Suburban; no it’s wasn’t about the GM grilles but the speedometer when it indicated that he was traveling at 10 mph even though he was driving at or near the speed limit on Interstate 5. Mr. Zwicker’s speedometer has failed completely in April 2006 but unfortunately General Motors refused to replace the defective speedometer stating that the truck was no longer covered by the three-year, 36,000 mile warranty period. Mr. Zwicker has purchased an extended warranty which he paid $100 for a new speedometer and not the regular price of $400 to $500. Mr. Zwicker who is currently living in Snohomish is the lead plaintiff[..]

Consumer Reports Gives the Chevrolet Cobalt Below-average Ranking
General Motors—world’s largest automaker and maker of the popular GM cold air intakes --- has recently issued a statement against the Consumer Reports’ below-average ranking of the Chevrolet Cobalt saying that the magazine has based its findings on old tests results and does not in any way reflect the current models. It should be noted that the magazine has ranked the Chevrolet Cobalt 11th out of 16 small cars with automatic transmissions. Consumer Reports’ Winter/Spring 2007 Superchart has not included the Lordstown-built car among the eight cars listed on the magazine’s “recommended buys”. The information was released ahead of its annual issue which will come out on March[..]
General Motors Going Hybrid…finally
General Motors maker of quality GM parts has never really backed out from any challenge especially if it comes from Toyota Motor Corporation which as we all know is hot on the heels of the world’s number 1 automaker. GM is planning to go head-to-head with ToMoCo in targeting fuel-conscious consumers. The world’s number one automaker will sell the cheapest hybrid, the Saturn Aura on the US market, as announced by GM last Monday. A hybrid version of the Saturn Aura sedan is scheduled to hit showrooms this month and will carry a price tag of $22,695 approximately $100 less than Toyota’s trend setting Prius hybrid. The Aura will be the very first hybrid sedan that will be sold in the[..]
Gm's Holden to Lay-off 600 Workers
In the news: General Motors Corp.’s GM Australian unit has announced last Monday that it will shed 15% of its workforce at its Elizabeth plant in South Australia State by the end of April. GM Holden Ltd. will offer voluntary redundancy packages to 600 workers who will be included in the 15% labor cut that GM’s Australia subsidiary will implement at its plant, north of Adelaide. Such is the result of improved efficiency of its automated assembly which allows the auto maker to maintain production with fewer workers. But according to some analysts the cutting down of workers by GM’s Australian unit was due to the decline in sales of Holden’s locally built Commodore range as[..]
Gmac's Rescap in Trouble
Back in the days banks refused to loan money if the reason for it is to purchase a car. During those times it’s not considered practical for someone to loan for mere luxury. Such attitude of the banks has frustrated automakers like General Motors which naturally wanted for people to purchase their vehicles. Since financing was the main problem during those times GM has decided to solve the problem by becoming its own bank. It was in the year 1919 when GM—world’s largest automaker and producer of quality GM grille insert --- created the General Motors Acceptance Corp., which has become the financial arm of the automaker. The GMAC was created to offer specialized credit to would-be[..]

About Classic Volkswagen Camper van
Volkswagen was one of the first manufacturers of the camper van. The VW camper van, also known as a minibus, was first introduced in 1950 and gained in popularity as an inexpensive way to take the family on vacation. In the 1950s, the Volkswagen camper van, also know as Type 2, was one of two car models produced by Volkswagen. The VW camper van is not only a classic but also holds iconic status in recent American history, as it was closely associated with the counter-culture of the 1970s. The VW touring van inspired some imitations in the United States. Similar models came out from Ford, Dodge, and Chevy. Still, the VW version remains the most widely recognized. The VW camper van can[..]
Used Toyota - Make the Most of the Scrappage Scheme
We don't have long left to make the very best of the scrappage scheme. That £2000 plus as decided by the government during the depths of the recession last year will soon be running out, and as soon as that happens people who want new cars will have to deal with a hefty price increase and certain shortage of bargains. Of course, it probably makes more sense to go for a used car cash-wise anyway, so it is with that in mind that I suggest choosing and researching Toyota as your brand of choice. Why is Toyota my suggestion? Because their cars are well known for their reliability, and, actually, for their safety. Also, these cars aren't rip offs, meaning that you can do your research[..]
Mazda -- All Car History Volume4
Mazda began as the Toyo Cork Kogyo Co., Ltd, founded in Japan in 1920 manufacturing machine tools. In 1927 it was renamed Toyo Kogyo Co., Ltd. and shortly after started manufacturing vehicles, the first being a three-wheel truck, the Mazdago, in 1931. Mazda's first car, the Mazda R360 Coupe two-door passenger vehicle, came out in 1960, with the four-door Mazda Carol appearing in 1962. The next year, Mazda's car production topped one million. During the 1970s, Mazda successfully entered the North American market, and financial difficulties during the 1990s saw Ford take a controlling interest in Mazda in 1999. Mazda cars have a reputation for looking and feeling different[..]

Historic Automotive Photographer
The Pirelli calendar is one that's eagerly awaited by all and sundry involved with automotive matters and excellent photography, but 'sundry' rarely ever gets to own a copy. Even so, there is always keen interest in both the models, the photographer/s shooting this exclusive calendar, and how the models are depicted in the calendar. One of the most striking, and yet subtle, calendars from this tyre company came several years ago when the tyre tread pattern was tastefully depicted as an element of the whole image. This time around, the thirty-fifth, Pirelli has a more commercial motive behind the choice of models - Pirelli's increased presence in China with the opening of a new tyre[..]
Who is the Stig?
Some say he gave Jonathon Ross Andrew Sachs' phone number! And he is available in a flat pack from Ikea… all we know is he is called The Stig! A question edging towards one of the greats… What'’s the meaning of life? How did we get here? Who is the Stig?! Recently some of the tabloid papers, as many have over the years, claimed they could reveal the identity of The Stig. However, in typical tabloid fashion, they were chasing one of the production team runners. Top Gear summed up the situation nicely when releasing the following statement; "Instead, they snapped one of TG's production runners leaving the office after a late night. Some say he makes the odd cup of tea for Clarkson[..]

Gas Scooters Through The Years
The first patents for scooters go back as far as 1921. The Razor scooter was later developed by Gino Tsai in Shanghai, Taiwan and became an instant hit with the public. It didn't take long for motor scooter popularity to expand all over the globe. Even before 1950 there were as many as 110,000 scooters on the road in Italy alone. It has been just a little over 50 years since the Vespa-Douglas Corporation in the UK sold their first gas scooters. The Douglas corporation was on the verge of bankruptcy when they first began selling their gas scooters. It was a big hit at the 1950 Motorcycle Show and saved the company from possible financial ruin. From 1950 to 1958 Vespa sold over 125,000 of[..]
What You Can Learn From A Tractor Competition
Growing up in small town Wallis, TX, where the farmlands flourish and tractors play a key role in everyday life, it seems only right that restoring old tractors would become a passion for local Future Farmers of America (FFA) teens. Inspired by that passion, two Wallis teens entered the 2005 Chevron Delo Tractor Restoration Competition, making it all the way to the event's finals at the National FFA Convention in Louisville, Kentucky. The Tractor Restoration Competition rewards the determination, mechanical skill and business savvy of high school-aged FFA members from around the country. Students are required to submit a workbook that details the entire restoration process. The skills[..]

When that happens, you might experience a decline in the performance and efficiency of your engine. Below, we'll take a closer look at the effects a dirty FI can have on your car. I'll describe what happens when clogs develop and describe the factors that contribute to obstructions. When Fuel Injectors Become Clogged If you[..]
The Best Car Floor Mats
Whether you're climbing back into your vehicle hiking through the outback or simply crossing the parking lot between errands, you can pick up a whole lot on the bottom of your shoes between Point A and Point B. Sadly, it all ends up on the floorboards of your vehicle, leaving it looking stained and worn in no time. Sure, you have the set of stock floor mats that came with the vehicle, and they work great…as long as you're able to keep your feet from straying off the 2x2-foot area they cover…and keep rain, mud and other liquids from running off the edges…and prevent dirt, sand, rocks and other detritus from spreading throughout the vehicle. Actually, when you stop and think about[..]

Top Ten ATV Safety Tips
More and more these days, riders of all terrain vehicles (ATVs) are becoming injured or even killed when their ATV wrecks, enforcing the need for safe operating procedures. This is especially important for teenagers who are interested in riding ATVs and are less likely to practice safe conduct while operating the vehicles. Keep in mind that ATVs are just as dangerous as cars, motorcycles, trucks, or sport utility vehicles, so only operate them using the proper techniques and procedures. Many riders neglect the fact that these vehicles have the capability to extremely injure or kill the drivers, but in the correct hands, ATVs can be a fun way to spend time in the great outdoors. A Look Inside The Hummer H3
Since 1992, a civilian model of the Army's High Mobility Multi-Purpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV) - also known as the HUMVEE - was created, and the HUMMER M998 was born. After a decade of production, the HUMMER H2 was introduced in 2001 as the next stage of evolution of the first HUMMER or H1. And in the second quarter of 2005, the HUMMER evolved again, as the H3. You may wonder what the differences are between HUMMER H3 and its first two incarnations. For starters, the H3 is has a Vortec 3.5L inline cylinder engine that can give 220 horsepower at 5600 rpm and 225 lb.-ft. of torque at 2800 rpm. The HUMMER H3 gets approximately 20 MPG and comes with either a manual or an automatic[..]

The Benefits of Driving School
Having a driver's license is one of the major status symbols among high school students and teenagers, in general. Aside from being a "coolness" asset, a driver's license also provides kids with a sense of independence by providing them with the right to drive on their own. Though most kids can't wait to get behind the wheel, some schools do not offer drivers education. As a result, most kids learn to drive on their own, through peers, or other unqualified instructors. This puts the kids' safety at risk because they are at the phase when they are most impressionable. They are prone to picking up unsafe driving habits, wrong information, and false confidence from these instructors. This[..]
